A Blend of Coping Tools and Support
This new Zoom-based therapy group will launch on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
Each 90-minute session will include instruction and guided practice of at least one effective coping skill drawing upon EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness approaches. After the skill practice, group members will check in and have the opportunity to share and discuss current challenges. Participants will receive supportive, constructive feedback from both the therapist and fellow group members.
This is a chance to learn practical tools for managing anxiety and depression while also building meaningful connections with others facing similar challenges.
The group is ongoing (no end date) and will be offered at two different times:
Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM (every other week)
Saturdays, 7:30–9:00 PM (every other week)
Participants may choose to attend only Wednesdays, only Saturdays, or alternate between both. Attendance is flexible—weekly or every other week —based on their preference and availability.
Upcoming Group Dates:
Wednesday 7/9 @ 5:00 PM
Saturday 7/19 @ 7:30 PM
Wednesday 7/23 @ 5:00 PM
Saturday 8/2 @ 7:30 PM
Wednesday 8/6 @ 5:00 PM
Saturday 8/16 @ 7:30 PM
Fee: $95 per person per each 90-minute group session. A superbill can be provided for possible insurance reimbursement. For those with financial hardship, sliding scale options may be available upon request.
Participants are welcome to attend 1 group initially to see if it's a good fit. If they choose to continue, they will be asked to commit to 6 sessions at a time, selecting the dates that work best.
A certificate of participation outlining the skills learned is available upon request (for court or other purposes).
This group is open to adults (18+) of all genders who are physically located in California at the time of each group.
Examples of tools to be offered in this group: Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Body Scan, Mindfulness Meditation, breathing exercises, Calm Place visualization, Light Stream Technique. Psychoeducation will be provided on common medications for anxiety and depression. Relevant books, audio and video tapes, and workbooks will be introduced as well. Community and other resources will be offered. Guest speakers may be invited to share about topics that participants might find interesting and useful.
While we’ll be covering serious and meaningful topics, the group will also make space for warmth, lightness, and moments of laughter — because healing often happens best when we feel safe, connected, and at ease.
This group is my passion project. It brings together many years of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. My goal is not only to offer effective, evidence-based tools—but also to create a sense of community and shared support for those who often feel alone in their struggles. I believe in the healing power of connection and want this group to be a space of learning, growth, and belonging. This group will be a safe space for LGBTQ+ & BIPOC individuals.
